1. New Emergency Management Application Released in Australia

EmerGeo Solutions Inc. is pleased to announce that it has appointed Spatial Vision as an authorised reseller for the company’s successful emergency management application – EmerGeo™.

Used in by an increasing number of emergency management organisations in the US and Canada, EmerGeo is a client/server application that allows emergency operational work groups to import, create and share spatial and other emergency information in a controlled and secure environment and publish this information via a web browser to designated users.

2. Feasibility of a First-Stop Knowledge Shop for Natural Resource Managers

Spatial Vision has been commissioned to develop options for a 'First-stop Knowledge Shop' for Natural Resource Managers.

3. Enhancing Asset Data for Wannon Water

Wannon Water recently appointed Spatial Vision to assist with moving their CAD data into their MapInfo GIS to enable better spatial reporting as well as linkages with their asset management system.

4. NSW Department of Primary Industries Minerals Field Applications

Spatial Vision has been contracted to integrate DPI Minerals' mobile applications to streamline the processes for geological mapping in the field and synchronisation with corporate databases.

5. Spatial Vision appointed as Victoria Police Vicmap Data Service Provider

Victoria Police uses Vicmap digital data for dispatch and crime analysis. Spatial Vision has been reappointed as Victoria Police's provider of Vicmap digital data.

Spatial Vision has launched a series of Murray River Recreational User Guides to meet the growing demand by users of the Murray River for authoritative information on river access and services available from local towns.

7. Customised ArcGIS Training

Spatial Vision is now offering an increased range of customised ArcGIS training programs.

8. Cumberland Plain Socio-economic Impact Assessment

NSW Department of Environment & Conservation commissioned a consultant team including Spatial Vision to assess a draft Native Vegetation Recovery Plan for the Cumberland Plain near Sydney.

9. Outer-Metro Mapbook

Spatial Vision has completed production of the Outer Metropolitan Map Book for the Victorian CFA. The new map book replaces the 1991 ESMAP Outer Melbourne Directory and uses the latest Vicmap digital data.

10. Spatial Support for Catchment Condition Reporting

The Goulburn-Broken Catchment Management Authority commissioned Spatial Vision to undertake spatial analysis to determine the extent and quality of vegetation in the region as input to their Biodiversity Condition Report.

11. Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) 2005

12. 2005 Spatial Sciences Institute Biennial Conference (SSI)

The theme for the Biennial SSI Conference is Spatial Intelligence, Innovation and Paxis. Spatial Vision's 2004 graduate cadet, Jess Ngo, will co-present a paper with Ian Miller on 'Using SVG to Deliver Web-based Data Editing'. Come and see our stand.

Project Outcomes:

13. Development of a Revegetation Prioritisation Tool

Dean Robertson, Wimmera Catchment Management Authority's Senior Biodiversity Officer, led a tender process that resulted in the selection of Spatial Vision to develop a GIS-based application that would enable Wimmera CMA staff to classify and prioritise remnant native vegetation and to identify the relative potential for revegetation activity.

14. ArcGIS Publisher 9: Accessing and Packaging Data for Published Maps

These technical tips highlight the new packaging and distribution features available with ArcGIS Publisher 9.1.

ArcGIS Publisher allows you to share ArcMap documents (.mxds) with users who do not have access to ArcMap software. Maps published using ArcGIS Publisher can be viewed, explored and printed using ArcReader software.
