1. Spatial Vision wins 2006 Excellence Awards
Earlier this year Spatial Vision's new Vicmap Book series
won the 2006 Victorian Spatial Excellence Award in the "People
and Community" category. More recently, the Vicmap Book
series has gone on to win the 2006 Australian and Pacific
Spatial Excellence Award.

2. Waterway Health Strategy and Decision Support System
The South West Catchments Council (Western Australia) has
commissioned Spatial Vision undertake the development of their
Waterway Health Sub-strategy and an associated Investment
Decision Support System.

3. Strategic Plan for Herbert Resource Information Centre
The Herbert Resource Information Centre (HRIC) contracts Spatial
Vision and Ian Plowman to develop a 10 year plan for Spatial
Information Technology Infrastructure in the Herbert River
District.

4. GIS Strategy to Assist Catchment Management
The North Central Catchment Management Authority (CMA) has
contracted Spatial Vision to guide the development of a vision
for the role that GIS should play in the future and a road
map to navigate the many challenges to achieve the vision.

5. Spatial Vision appointed to Geoscience Australia/DIGO panel
Spatial Vision has been appointed to the new Geoscience Australia
and Defence Imagery and Geospatial Organisation (DIGO) mapping
panel.

6. eFarmer Web Application
Spatial Vision contracted to design and develop a web based
application to support the capture and sharing of environmental
information across farms, landscapes and catchments.

7. Planning for Ballarat Schools
Department of Education and Training has appointed Spatial
Vision to review the future demand for government primary
and secondary schools in the greater Ballarat region.

8. Wildfire Consequences
Spatial Vision recently completed a spatial analysis project
for the Office of the Emergency Services Commissioner (OESC)
to quantify and map the potential consequences of wildfire
in a uniform way across Victoria.

9. Victorian Crematorium Industry Review
Spatial Vision, in conjunction with Marsden Jacob Associates
and Cumpston Sarjeant Truslove, completed a comprehensive
review of the Crematorium Industry in Victoria for the Department
of Human Services.

10. Groundwater Risk to Assets Strategic Analysis
Rising groundwater presents a significant risk to biodiversity.
Spatial Vision was commissioned to design and implement a
simple risk model that could provide a broad understanding
of the geographic context of the threat posed by rising groundwater
to biodiversity.

VICMAP BOOK NEWS:
11. South West Map Book Released
The third book in our award winning series, the South West
book covers from Little Desert NP to Cape Otway. The new map
book series has been developed by Spatial Vision in partnership
with DSE and CFA in an initiative to make state-wide topographic
mapping more widely available throughout Victoria.

12. CFA Wallmaps

15. Coordinated Mapping for Western Australia Emergency Management
