Over recent years Geoscience Australia and the Department
of Defence via Defence Imagery and Geospatial Organisation
(DIGO) have been working together with a shared goal of achieving
greater coordination and cooperation in the collection and
management of spatial information covering Australia. This
has been achieved via the outsourcing of the production of
Australian Government and selected DIGO topographic mapping
requirements to a select panel of private-sector mapping organisations.
Spatial Vision has been appointed to the new map and digital
data production panel.
