Press Release - October 27
2004
Spatial Vision is distributing two new datasets on behalf
of the Victorian Department of Sustainability & Environment,
Vicmap Planning and Vicmap Crown Land Tenure.
Vicmap Planning comprises three layers:
• VMPLAN_PLAN_ZONE - Planning scheme zone polygons
and attributes
• VMPLAN_PLAN_OVERLAY - Overlay polygons and attributes.
• VMPLAN_PLAN_UGB - Urban Growth Boundary. This boundary
indicates the long-term limits of urban development in metropolitan
Melbourne as determined by Melbourne 2030.
Vicmap Planning includes a "look-up" table that
links feature attributes with the full planning description.
The table also includes a predefined colour (RGB) value for
each zone and overlay so that users of the data can produce
hardcopy replicas of planning schemes. Vicmap Planning is
a seamless dataset across Victoria and the smallest unit available
for purchase is a single municipality.
Vicmap Crown Tenure comprises layers showing the public and
private use of Crown Land in Victoria. The layer includes
polygons describing the boundaries of private leases and licences
(for example grazing licences) on Crown Land. The layer also
includes the boundaries of reserves over Crown Land.
Boundaries in both the Planning and Crown Tenure datasets
are based on Vicmap Property so the datasets can be overlaid
on the cadastre with confidence. Both datasets are updated
on a monthly basis. Please contact Spatial Vision data sales
via data@spatialvision.com.au
if you would like a quote for these or any other Vicmap datasets.
