Parks Victoria is responsible for the development of management
plans for each of Victoria’s new Marine National Parks
and Marine Sanctuaries. Given the scale of this undertaking,
production of these plans has been staggered over a three
year planning period.
Parks Victoria has recently selected Spatial Vision to undertake
the mapping for the Management Plans for 16 areas:
• Merri Marine Sanctuary
• Twelve Apostles Marine National Park & The Arches
Marine Sanctuary
• Barwon Bluff Marine Sanctuary
• Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary
• Yaringa, Churchill Island & French Island Marine
National Park
• Beware Reef Marine Sanctuary
• Point Hicks Marine National Park
• Cape Howe Marine National Park
• 90 Mile Beach Marine National Park
• Bunurong Marine National Park & Bunurong Marine
& Coastal Park
• Discovery Bay Marine National Park
• Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary
• Point Cooke Marine Sanctuary
• Jawbone Marine Sanctuary
Under this arrangement, Spatial Vision is responsible for
producing:
• Regional Locality Plans
• Park maps detailing access, visitor facilities, and
adjacent land tenure and use
The project will involve providing a draft set of Plan maps
over a five month period to allow for community input and
stakeholder consultation. Final Plan maps will then be released
incorporating the consultation processes.
