Press Release - December
8th 2006
The ‘South West Catchments Council’ has contracted
Spatial Vision to undertake the development of their Waterway
Health Sub-strategy and an associated Investment Decision
Support System.
The South West Catchments Council (SWCC) is a cooperative
regional organization which identifies and coordinates strategic
opportunities to achieve sustainable natural resource management
(NRM) in the South West of Western Australia.
The rationale for SWCC investment in this project is to develop
a prioritization framework to guide investment into strategically
determined river and estuary protection and recovery projects.
This project will provide SWCC with tools for an informed
and defensible process for making funding allocation decisions
related to the region’s water assets. The project is
funded by the Australian and Western Australian Governments
through the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality.
Spatial Vision will lead the project and involve the additional
NRM expertise of Shelley Heron and Tim Doeg.
