Press Release - July 23 2004
The Minister for Information and Communication Technology,
Marsha Thomson recently announced a refresh of the of Victorian
Government (WoVG) eServices Panel. The eServices panel was
established to enable the Government to select companies for
contracted work from a list of pre-approved suppliers. Government
departments may now select companies from this list without
the bureaucratic burden occasionally experienced by government
suppliers
The major advantage of the E-Services panel to government
agencies is that it will make it easier for clients to contract
services in a variety of ways. For example, the terms of Contract
have been agreed to in advance. Using the panel negates the
need for clients to go through the exhaustive and costly public
advertising process. Only one quotation is required for work
that is less than $100,000, while only three quotations are
required for work between $100,000 and $1 Million. Companies
who have been selected for the panel have demonstrated high
levels of achievement and expertise in their key service category
area.
Spatial Vision is pleased to announce that it has been appointed
to the following categories on the Panel:
• Web Development Services (General)
• Application Development - J2EE Technology
Spatial Vision’s appointment to the Panel provides
a streamlined approach to the purchasing of our services.
Any Victorian Government Department or Entity is eligible
to use this panel. For more details see the Whole of Victorian
Government eServices Panel Contract page on www.vgpb.vic.gov.au
Commonwealth Endorsed Supplier Status
Spatial Vision is an endorsed Commonwealth Supplier. Originally
granted in 2001, the company’s endorsement has recently
been the subject of a review by the Australian Government
Department of Finance and Administration (DFA). DFA conducts
periodic reviews of Endorsed Suppliers to confirm their ongoing
suitability. Spatial Vision’s Endorsed Supplier Status
was re-confirmed on June 21st earlier this year.
