Vicmap Imagery 2011 Aerial Photography now available
DSE has now released all imagery captured in 2010/11 under the Coordinated Imagery Program (CIP). The imagery is now available from Spatial Vision. Areas available in the very latest release include Port Phillip and Geelong (now available in 35cm resolution), the Melbourne metropolitan area is also now available as 10cm resolution imagery. Other projects are City of Yarra (6cm) Frankston and Mornington Peninsula (both 10cm), and Surf Coast Shire (35cm). Imagery covering Surf Coast towns (12 cm) is also available.
In addition a major effort was made in recording the extent of the Victorian floods earlier this year and extensive imagery covering flood affected regions was flown.
The imagery is all georeferenced to MGA 54 or 55 and available as ECW files which can be read in ArcGIS and MapInfo.
