Natural Resource Management

E-mail Print
Australia is confronted with some of the most urgent environmental issues in the world. The sustainable management of land, water, air and biodiversity resources for the benefit of current and future generations requires sophisticated management solutions.

Spatial Vision has a long history in developing effective information solutions that assist natural resource management (NRM) professionals to make informed decisions about natural assets, their values and threats to integrity.

Our experience includes:
  • The creation of tools to undertake field assessment of vegetation quality and stream condition
  • Development of methodologies to determine the significance of assets in the landscape in relation to their community importance and natural, social, recreation and cultural significance
  • GIS applications to classify and prioritise remnant native vegetation and to identify the relative potential for revegetation activity
  • Application to record and assess the value and threats to NRM assets to guide decisions on future investment and enable monitoring and evaluation of outcomes.
