Great feedback on iDVD

E-mail Print

Spatial Vision has received great feedback on the interactive mapping DVD launched in November 2007. The DVD features Victoria-wide digital topographic maps for viewing, searching and printing your own maps.

The digital data is based on the popular Vicmap Book series that includes 1:100,000/1:50,000 topographic maps as well as detailed maps of every township in the Victoria . You are also able to install these digital maps on to your OziExplorer-equipped PDA phone or GPS to track your location whilst touring regional Victoria.

Max Wood, a dairy farmer involved with the CFA recently purchased an iDVD. Max creates his own maps on his PC and uses the iDVD with his GPS for his four wheel driving trips in the high country over the North East.

Here is what he had to say,

"I am quite impressed with the quality and functionality of the SV Vicmap interactive DVD. I use the maps with my OziExplorer program. I find that because the maps are seamless, panning across them is very quick to update compared to the previous maps I was using that contained lots of borders. The name search function is helpful in locating localities and streets. The maps are of a very high standard in regard to clarity and easy to read. I feel it is a product well worth having on anyone's computer. A job well done, keep up the good work."
