Promoting and managing tourism, a sector worth over $7 billion to Victoria annually, relies substantially upon maps to depict the location of regional attractions, accommodation facilities, and the routes required to visit them. Similar comments apply to the broad range of recreational facilities provided within the State.

How does Spatial Vision contribute to Tourism and Recreation?

Spatial Vision prides itself on the quality and diversity of the maps we produce for tourism and recreation. Our own brand, SV maps, is committed to producing high quality, user-friendly maps based on up-to-date geographic information with unique user-specific features.

We are at the forefront of cartographic design and production techniques, which make our award-winning products must-haves for the outdoor enthusiast.    Examples of the services and products offered to support recreational and tourism activities include:

  • Spatial Vision’s new Outdoor Recreation Guides which are focused primarily on bushwalking, and its successful River Murray Access Guides aimed at river users
  • Production of Park Notes, Forest Notes and other information sheets for government park and forest management agencies throughout Victoria and increasingly – interstate
  • Production of large interpretative displays integrating maps, text, photos and other graphical elements on durable signage in remote and environmentally challenging locations, such as the Great Barrier Reef
  • Customised tourism-focused maps to support published brochures, such as state-wide winery guides, or digital map products optimised for use on agency web-sites, such as township information guides.
