Spatial Vision has released a new Murray River Access Guide (MRAG) which covers the section of the Murray River from Tooleybuc to Boundary Bend, to Robinvale and Euston, to Wemen.

This new guide which is lime green in colour is the seventh book in the series which is dedicated to providing detailed maps of the Murray River and surrounding areas for both residents and visitors.

The series provides information on river access, beaches, recreational facilities, parks and forests, walking tracks, picnic areas and regulations regarding fishing, boating, and camping. The Booklet is available for purchase at local Visitor Information Centres, Fishing and Camping shops, some newsagents and mapping outlets.

“This is a very helpful guide for anybody who uses our great river for recreational purposes. It sets out all you need to know in terms of the regulations you need to follow and most importantly a very detailed map of the river and the surrounding area” said Janelle Earle of Swan Hill Rural City Council.

The booklet has involved field checking of the maps by Parks Victoria, the Department of Sustainability & Environment, local Tourism groups, Forests NSW and the Mallee Catchment Management Authority. Without the input of these groups, as well as the support of the Murray Darling Basin Commission, local government and local advertising, these booklets would not have been produced.

When the remaining five books are completed the MRAG series will cover the entire stretch of the Murray from Renmark in SA to Khancoban in the upper reaches of the river just north of Mt Kosciuszko.
 “Each edition focuses on a particular area and provides all the information you need when spending time around or on the river, whether you’re camping, fishing, boating or just exploring.

The previous MRAG booklets have been a great success and are seen as a much needed resource not only for visitors but locals as well and we are very pleased to add this latest edition to the series” said Stephen Farrell of Spatial Vision.
